أصدرت نقابة المهن التمثيلية بياناً عقب الواقعة التي تعرضت لها الفنانة المصرية ريهام عبدالغفور، إذ نُشر مقطع فيديو تظهر فيه بشكل غير لائق، مؤكدة النقابة رفضها القاطع لأي ممارسات تمس كرامة الفنانين أو تسيء إلى صورة الفن المصري. بيان حاسم من النقابة شدّدت النقابة، برئاسة الفنان الدكتور أشرف زكي، على أن تصوير أو نشر صور ومقاطع فيديو دون إذن أو خارج سياقها القانوني يُعد انتهاكاً صريحاً للقانون، مشيرة إلى بدء اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية ضد المتورطين في تلك الوقائع. واقعة ريهام عبدالغفور تحرك النقابة أوضح البيان أن أن ما جرى مع ريهام عبدالغفور يمثل نموذجاً مرفوضاً لحالة من الانفلات غير المهني، مشيراً إلى أن النقابة لن تتهاون مع أي إساءة تطال أعضاءها أو تمس مكانة الفن المصري. إجراءات قانونية ضد الصفحات المخالفة أكد النقيب أشرف زكي أن النقابة ستتعامل بحزم مع كل من يثبت تورطه في هذه الوقائع، داعياً المؤسسات الإعلامية إلى الالتزام بالمسؤولية المهنية وعدم انتهاك الخصوصية. واختتمت النقابة بيانها بالتشديد على أن حرية التعبير لا تعني التشهير أو التعدي على الخصوصية، مع استمرارها في حماية أعضائها والدفاع عن كرامتهم قانونياً.
