أكدت إدارة المنتخب المصري أن قائد الفريق محمد صلاح لم يجر أي حديث مع المدير الفني لمنتخب جنوب أفريقيا هوغو بروس بعد المباراة التي جمعتهما الجمعة ضمن الجولة الثانية من منافسات المجموعة الثانية لبطولة أمم أفريقيا المقامة في المغرب.

وأوضح المنسق الإعلامي للمنتخب المصري محمد مراد، عبر حسابه الرسمي على «فيسبوك»، أن صلاح اقتصر على تبادل التحية والسلام مع مدرب جنوب أفريقيا، مؤكدًا أن أي تصريحات أخرى لا أساس لها من الصحة.

وجاءت هذه التصريحات في أعقاب ما أشار إليه بروس خلال المؤتمر الصحفي بعد المباراة، حين قال إن صلاح اعترف له بأن ركلة الجزاء التي حصل عليها الفريق المصري خلال اللقاء لم تكن صحيحة.

وسجل محمد صلاح هدف المباراة الوحيد من ضربة الجزاء، ليقود المنتخب المصري للفوز 1-0، ويضمن صدارة المجموعة الثانية، مع تأهله رسميًا إلى دور الـ16 من البطولة.

The Egyptian national team management confirmed that team captain Mohamed Salah did not have any conversation with South Africa's head coach Hugo Broos after the match they played on Friday as part of the second round of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.

The media coordinator for the Egyptian team, Mohamed Murad, clarified via his official Facebook account that Salah only exchanged greetings with the South African coach, emphasizing that any other statements are unfounded.

These remarks came in the wake of what Broos mentioned during the press conference after the match, when he said that Salah admitted to him that the penalty awarded to the Egyptian team during the match was not correct.

Mohamed Salah scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot, leading the Egyptian team to a 1-0 victory and securing the top spot in Group B, along with officially qualifying for the Round of 16 of the tournament.
