بعد أقل من أسبوع من تأكيد المتحدث باسم تحالف دعم الشرعية اللواء الركن تركي المالكي وجود أسلحة إماراتية مهرّبة في مطار الريان، كشفت تقارير أمنية ميدانية، اليوم (الإثنين)، ضبط كمية كبيرة من الأسلحة في مقر هيئة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي في مديرية المكلا بساحل حضرموت.
وأفصحت المصادر، لـ«عكاظ»، أن الأسلحة المضبوطة تشمل «قذائف هاون وقنابل ومسدسات وكلاشنكوف وقاذفات آر بي جي وذخائر متنوعة»، مؤكدة أن الكمية المضبوطة كبيرة وكانت مخزنة داخل مقر الهيئة.
وأفادت المصادر بأن قوات درع الوطن استولت على الأسلحة ونقلتها إلى معسكراتها في المكلا.
وعرض التلفزيون اليمني الحكومي صوراً للأسلحة التي جرى إخراجها من مقر الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي في المكلا.
في غضون، أكدت مصادر أمنية يمنية، اليوم، تحرير مدير ميناء المكلا سالم باسمير، بعد 5 أيام من اختطافه ونقله إلى مكان مجهول من قبل قوات المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي.
وقالت المصادر إن الأجهزة الأمنية وقوات درع الوطن نفذت خلال الساعات الماضية عملية تحرٍ واسعة عن موقع اختطاف باسمير وتمكنت من تحديده ليتم تنفيذ عملية مداهمة لوكر عناصر المجلس الانتقالي والإفراج عنه دون أن يتعرض لأي أذى.
وذكرت المصادر أن العناصر التي كانت تحتجزه فرت قبل ساعات من وصول القوات الحكومية، لافتة إلى أن الأجهزة الأمنية تجري عملية تحريات عنهم للقبض عليهم وتقديمهم للعدالة لينالوا جزاءهم العادل.
وأثار اختطاف باسمير غضباً كبيراً وانتقادات واسعة من منظمات حقوقية وجهات حكومية، فيما طالب أبناء المحافظة بسرعة الإفراج عنه.
وكان باسمير قد ظهر في فيديو مسجل وهو تحت التهديد في حالة ارتباك وانهيار نفسي مما زاد من حالة الغضب الشعبي في حضرموت واليمن، متهمين «الانتقالي» بالوقوف وراء الاختطاف.
من جانبه، ثمّن محافظ حضرموت سالم الخنبشي مواقف السعودية الداعمة لحضرموت، مشيداً خلال افتتاحه مقر مجلس حضرموت الوطني بمدينة سيئون، بالدور الفاعل الذي تضطلع به قوة حماية الشركات النفطية في تأمين المنشآت والحقول النفطية، وما تبذله من جهود في الحفاظ على هذه المنشآت الحيوية وحمايتها.
من جهة ثانية، ناقشت اللجنة الأمنية بمحافظة شبوة، برئاسة رئيسها المحافظ عوض بن الوزير، الأوضاع الأمنية والعسكرية بالمحافظة، مشددة على ضرورة تعزيز التواصل والتنسيق مع كافة الوحدات والأجهزة الأمنية والعسكرية، للحفاظ على النظام والقانون، وحماية السكينة العامة بالمحافظة، والذود عن مصالحها وأمنها واستقرارها، ومكافحة الجريمة بمختلف أشكالها وأنواعها، مرحِّبة بالتزام التحالف بدعم استقرار المحافظة، وعدم دخول أية قوات إلا بالتنسيق المسبق مع المحافظ.
ووجهت اللجنة بضرورة التزام كافة قادة الوحدات الأمنية والعسكرية بالمحافظة بما جاء في بيان قوات التحالف، والاسترشاد بتعليماته في وضع مؤشرات خططهم القتالية والأمنية لهذا العام.
Less than a week after the spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, confirmed the presence of smuggled Emirati weapons at Al-Riyan Airport, field security reports revealed today (Monday) a large quantity of weapons seized at the headquarters of the Emirates Red Crescent in the Mukalla district on the coast of Hadramout.
Sources informed “Okaz” that the seized weapons include “mortar shells, grenades, pistols, Kalashnikovs, RPG launchers, and various ammunition,” confirming that the quantity seized was large and stored inside the headquarters of the organization.
The sources reported that the National Shield Forces seized the weapons and transferred them to their camps in Mukalla.
The Yemeni government television displayed images of the weapons that were taken out of the Emirates Red Crescent headquarters in Mukalla.
Meanwhile, Yemeni security sources confirmed today the liberation of the director of Mukalla port, Salem Basmeer, after 5 days of his abduction and transfer to an unknown location by the Southern Transitional Council forces.
The sources stated that the security agencies and the National Shield Forces conducted a wide-ranging search operation for the location of Basmeer’s abduction and were able to identify it, leading to a raid on the hideout of the Transitional Council elements and his release without any harm.
The sources mentioned that the elements holding him fled hours before the arrival of the government forces, noting that the security agencies are conducting investigations to apprehend them and bring them to justice to receive their fair punishment.
The abduction of Basmeer sparked significant anger and widespread criticism from human rights organizations and government entities, while the people of the governorate demanded his swift release.
Basmeer had appeared in a recorded video under threat, in a state of confusion and psychological breakdown, which increased the public outrage in Hadramout and Yemen, accusing the “Transitional” of being behind the abduction.
For his part, Hadramout Governor Salem Al-Khanbashi praised Saudi Arabia's supportive positions towards Hadramout, commending during the opening of the Hadramout National Council headquarters in Sayun, the active role played by the Oil Companies Protection Forces in securing facilities and oil fields, and their efforts to maintain and protect these vital installations.
On another note, the security committee in Shabwa governorate, chaired by its head, Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir, discussed the security and military situations in the governorate, emphasizing the need to enhance communication and coordination with all security and military units and agencies to maintain order and law, protect public tranquility in the governorate, defend its interests, security, and stability, and combat crime in all its forms and types, welcoming the coalition's commitment to support the stability of the governorate and the non-entry of any forces without prior coordination with the governor.
The committee directed that all leaders of security and military units in the governorate adhere to what was stated in the coalition forces' statement and to be guided by its instructions in setting indicators for their combat and security plans for this year.
