وقالت إدارة الحديقة إن الغزال كان في فترة التزاوج، ما زاد من هرمون التستوستيرون لدى الذكر، ودفعه لإظهار شجاعته وإثبات قدراته، رغم صغر حجمه البالغ 13 كيلوغرامًا مقارنة بوحيد القرن. وأضافت أن المشهد يعكس قدرة الحيوانات الصغيرة على الدفاع عن نفسها واتباع غرائزها الطبيعية، مؤكدة أن الحجم لا يحدد الشجاعة دائمًا.

ويُظهر الفيديو الغزال الصغير وهو يندفع بثقة نحو وحيد القرن، متبادلًا معه نطحات خفيفة، بينما تهز «ماروشكا» رأسها صعودًا وهبوطًا في حركة استعراضية تشبه إعلان بدء المواجهة. وعلى الرغم من الفارق الكبير في الحجم، استمر الغزال في مطاردة خصمه العملاق، حتى ابتعد الأخير بعد تبادل الجولة الثالثة، في مشهد بدى أقرب إلى لعبة ودية من صراع حقيقي.

وأكد موظفو الحديقة أن اللقاء أثبت أن الجرأة قد تأتي أحيانًا بقرون صغيرة وروح كبيرة، وأن الحيوانات الصغيرة قادرة على تحدي الأقوى منها بشجاعة غير متوقعة، ما جعل الفيديو رسالة طريفة ورائعة للمشاهدين حول قوة الإرادة والجرأة.

Social media users circulated a stunning video from the Wrocław Zoo in Poland showing a confrontation between the strongest and weakest of animals, featuring a small Chinese muntjac deer challenging the massive rhinoceros Marushka, who weighs 1.7 tons, in an unusual scene that attracted millions of viewers around the world.

The zoo management stated that the deer was in its mating season, which increased the testosterone levels in the male, prompting it to display its courage and prove its abilities, despite its small size of 13 kilograms compared to the rhinoceros. They added that the scene reflects the ability of small animals to defend themselves and follow their natural instincts, emphasizing that size does not always determine bravery.

The video shows the small deer confidently charging towards the rhinoceros, exchanging light headbutts, while Marushka shakes her head up and down in a display reminiscent of signaling the start of the confrontation. Despite the significant size difference, the deer continued to chase its giant opponent until the latter retreated after the third round of exchanges, in a scene that resembled a friendly game more than a real struggle.

Zoo staff confirmed that the encounter proved that boldness can sometimes come with small horns and a big spirit, and that small animals are capable of challenging those stronger than them with unexpected bravery, making the video a charming and wonderful message to viewers about the power of will and courage.
