رحبت مصر، بإعلان الولايات المتحدة عن إدراج تنظيم «الإخوان المسلمين» في مصر "كياناً إرهابياً عالمياً مصنفاً بشكل خاص SDGT»، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، مُعتبرة أنها خطوة فارقة تعكس خطورة هذه الجماعة وأيديولوجيتها المتطرفة، وما تمثله من تهديد مباشر للأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي والدولي.

وثمنت مصر، بحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية، الجهود التي تضطلع بها الإدارة الأمريكية بقيادة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في مكافحة الإرهاب الدولي والتصدي للتنظيمات الإرهابية، بما يتوافق بشكل كامل مع موقف مصر الثابت تجاه جماعة «الإخوان» الإرهابية، التي تصنفها منظمة إرهابية قائمة على العنف والتطرف والتحريض، وتستغل الدين لتحقيق أهداف سياسية، وهو ما عانت منه مصر ودول المنطقة على مدار عقود، شهدت خلالها ارتكاب هذه الجماعة الإرهابية جرائم وأعمال عنف استهدفت فيها أبناء الشعب المصري من الشرطة والقوات المسلحة والمدنيين، في محاولة ممنهجة للنيل من أمن البلاد واستقراره.

وأكدت مصر أن هذا التصنيف الأمريكي الأخير يعكس صواب ووجاهة الموقف المصري الحازم من جماعة «الإخوان» الإرهابية الذي تبنته الدولة عقب ثورة 30 يونيو 2013، دفاعاً عن إرادة الشعب المصري وصوناً لمؤسسات الدولة الوطنية، إذ سعى التنظيم الإرهابي إلى اختطاف الدولة وتوظيف العنف والإرهاب لفرض أجندته الهدامة.

كما تشدد مصر على أن ما قدمته من تضحيات جسيمة في سبيل مكافحة الإرهاب، يعكس التزام الدولة الراسخ بمواجهة الفكر المتطرف والعنف في سبيل حماية الأمن الوطني ومقدرات الدولة المصرية.

وشددت مصر على حرصها على مواصلة جهودها لتعزيز التعاون الدولي في مجال مكافحة الإرهاب بجميع أشكاله وصوره، وتجفيف منابعه الفكرية والمالية، والتصدي لكافة التنظيمات المتطرفة التي تهدد السلم والأمن الدوليين، كما جددت التزامها بمواصلة العمل والتنسيق مع الشركاء الدوليين من أجل مكافحة الإرهاب وتجفيف منابعه في كل مكان، دفاعاً عن مصالح وأمن واستقرار مصر والمنطقة والعالم بأسره.

Egypt welcomed the announcement by the United States regarding the designation of the "Muslim Brotherhood" organization in Egypt as a "specially designated global terrorist entity (SDGT)" today (Tuesday), considering it a pivotal step that reflects the seriousness of this group and its extremist ideology, as well as the direct threat it poses to regional and international security and stability.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt praised the efforts undertaken by the U.S. administration, led by President Donald Trump, in combating international terrorism and addressing terrorist organizations, which fully aligns with Egypt's steadfast position towards the terrorist "Brotherhood" group, which it classifies as a terrorist organization based on violence, extremism, and incitement, exploiting religion to achieve political goals. This is something that Egypt and the countries in the region have suffered from for decades, during which this terrorist group has committed crimes and acts of violence targeting the Egyptian people, including police, armed forces, and civilians, in a systematic attempt to undermine the country's security and stability.

Egypt affirmed that this latest U.S. designation reflects the correctness and validity of Egypt's firm stance towards the terrorist "Brotherhood" group, which the state adopted following the revolution of June 30, 2013, in defense of the will of the Egyptian people and the preservation of national state institutions, as the terrorist organization sought to hijack the state and employ violence and terrorism to impose its destructive agenda.

Egypt also emphasizes that the significant sacrifices it has made in the fight against terrorism reflect the state's unwavering commitment to confronting extremist thought and violence in order to protect national security and the resources of the Egyptian state.

Egypt stressed its keenness to continue its efforts to enhance international cooperation in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, drying up its intellectual and financial sources, and addressing all extremist organizations that threaten international peace and security. It also renewed its commitment to continue working and coordinating with international partners to combat terrorism and dry up its sources everywhere, in defense of the interests, security, and stability of Egypt, the region, and the entire world.
