انطلقت أمس منافسات «بطولة الووشو كونغ فو»، بمشاركة 200 لاعب ولاعبة، وتستمر مدة 3 أيام في صالة وزارة الرياضة بالرياض من بينهم نخبة من اللاعبين السعوديين، في خطوة تعكس تنامي حضور هذه الرياضة على الساحة الرياضية المحلية، وازدياد قاعدة ممارسيها من فئة الشباب. وشملت منافسات اليوم الأول قياس الأوزان، والبدء في بطولة الأساليب، التي تُعد الجانب الاستعراضي في الكونغ فو، وشارك فيها (50) لاعبًا ولاعبة، وشهدت مراحلها تنافسًا قويًا في عدد من الأساليب المعتمدة، من بينها التاولو والساندا، وسط تنظيم يعكس التزام المملكة العربية السعودية بالمعايير الفنية المعتمدة دوليًا، إذ تأهّل عدد من اللاعبين للمرحلة التالية من المنافسات التي ستشهد نزالات لتحديد المتأهلين للنهائيات في مختلف الفئات. وتأتي البطولة ضمن جهود اللجنة السعودية لـ«الووشو كونغ فو» لتطوير اللعبة، واكتشاف المواهب الوطنية، وتهيئة اللاعبين للمشاركة في البطولات الإقليمية والدولية. وأكدت اللجنة السعودية أن إقامة البطولة تأتي امتدادًا لخطتها الإستراتيجية الهادفة إلى نشر اللعبة، ورفع مستوى الاحتراف، وبناء جيل قادر على تمثيل المملكة في المحافل الدولية، في ظل الدعم الذي يحظى به القطاع الرياضي، وتنوع الألعاب القتالية التي تشهد اهتمامًا متزايدًا داخل المملكة. وتُعد رياضة «الووشو كونغ فو» من الرياضات القتالية التي تجمع بين الجانبين البدني والذهني، وتندرج تحت مظلة الاتحاد الدولي لـ«الووشو»، الذي يضم أكثر من (160) اتحادًا وطنيًا حول العالم، ما يمنح هذه البطولات المحلية بُعدًا تنافسيًا وتأهيليًا مهمًا للاعبين السعوديين. The "Wushu Kung Fu Championship" kicked off yesterday with the participation of 200 male and female athletes, and will continue for 3 days at the Ministry of Sports hall in Riyadh, including a selection of Saudi players. This reflects the growing presence of this sport in the local sports scene and the increasing base of its young practitioners. The first day's competitions included weight measurements and the start of the styles championship, which is considered the performance aspect of Kung Fu. It featured (50) male and female participants, and witnessed strong competition in several approved styles, including Taolu and Sanda, amidst an organization that reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to internationally recognized technical standards. A number of players qualified for the next stage of the competitions, which will feature matches to determine the qualifiers for the finals in various categories. This championship is part of the efforts of the Saudi Wushu Kung Fu Committee to develop the sport, discover national talents, and prepare players for participation in regional and international championships. The Saudi Committee confirmed that holding the championship is an extension of its strategic plan aimed at promoting the sport, raising the level of professionalism, and building a generation capable of representing the Kingdom in international forums, in light of the support that the sports sector receives and the diversity of combat sports that are gaining increasing interest within the Kingdom. Wushu Kung Fu is considered a combat sport that combines both physical and mental aspects, and falls under the umbrella of the International Wushu Federation, which includes more than (160) national federations worldwide, giving these local championships an important competitive and qualifying dimension for Saudi players.
