At least 16 people have died in a bus crash involving passengers in northeastern Brazil, local officials reported. The incident occurred when the bus, carrying around 60 people, veered off the road and overturned in a rural area of Alagoas state. Local media reported that the bus went off the road at a curve and flipped over, throwing some individuals out of the vehicle. The survivors, including a child with serious injuries, were taken to hospitals where they are still receiving medical care.
