وقعت المملكة العربية السعودية، ممثلةً في هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد، وجمهورية موريشيوس، ممثلةً بهيئة مكافحة الجرائم المالية، اليوم، مذكرة تفاهم في مجال منع الفساد، وتعزيز التعاون المشترك في مكافحة الجرائم العابرة للحدود المرتبطة بقضايا الفساد.
ومثّل المملكة في توقيع المذكرة رئيس هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد مازن بن إبراهيم الكهموس، ومن الجانب الموريشي رئيس هيئة مكافحة الجرائم المالية تيتروديو داووداري.
وتهدف مذكرة التفاهم إلى تعزيز التعاون المؤسسي بين الجانبين، وتبادل المعلومات والخبرات، وبناء القدرات، وتطوير الممارسات المتخصصة في مجالات حماية النزاهة، والوقاية من الفساد ومكافحته، ومكافحة الجرائم العابرة للحدود المرتبطة بقضايا الفساد، بما يتوافق مع أحكام اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد.
وخلال الزيارة، التقى رئيس هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد دولة رئيس وزراء جمهورية موريشيوس الدكتور نافين رامغولام، كما التقى وزير الخارجية والتكامل الإقليمي والتجارة الدولية دانانجاي رامفول، وذلك بحضور سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى جمهورية موريشيوس فايز بن مشل التمياط.
وجرى خلال اللقاءين استعراض العلاقات الثنائية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية موريشيوس، وبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك في مجالات حماية النزاهة والوقاية من الفساد ومكافحته، وتبادل الخبرات وأفضل الممارسات، بما يُسهم في دعم الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى ترسيخ مبادئ الشفافية والحوكمة، وتعزيز التعاون في مكافحة الجرائم المالية والفساد العابر للحدود.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار جهود هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد لتعزيز حضورها الدولي، وتوسيع شراكاتها مع الأجهزة النظيرة والمنظمات الدولية، بما يسهم في تبادل الخبرات، وتطوير القدرات المؤسسية، ودعم الجهود الدولية لحماية النزاهة والوقاية من الفساد ومكافحته، ويعزز مكانة المملكة العربية السعودية شريكاً فاعلاً في الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى ترسيخ مبادئ النزاهة والشفافية، تحقيقاً لمستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, and the Republic of Mauritius, represented by the Financial Crimes Commission, today signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of corruption prevention and enhancing joint cooperation in combating transnational crimes related to corruption issues.
The Kingdom was represented in signing the memorandum by the President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, while the Mauritian side was represented by the President of the Financial Crimes Commission, Teerodieu Dawoodary.
The memorandum aims to enhance institutional cooperation between the two sides, exchange information and experiences, build capacities, and develop specialized practices in the fields of integrity protection, corruption prevention and combat, and combating transnational crimes related to corruption issues, in accordance with the provisions of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
During the visit, the President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Dr. Navin Ramgoolam, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and International Trade, Dananjay Ramfoal, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Mauritius, Faiz bin Mashal Al-Tamiyat.
During the meetings, the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Mauritius were reviewed, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of integrity protection, corruption prevention and combat were discussed, along with the exchange of experiences and best practices, contributing to supporting international efforts aimed at establishing principles of transparency and governance, and enhancing cooperation in combating financial crimes and transnational corruption.
This visit comes as part of the efforts of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority to enhance its international presence and expand partnerships with counterpart agencies and international organizations, contributing to the exchange of experiences, developing institutional capacities, and supporting international efforts to protect integrity and prevent and combat corruption, thereby enhancing the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as an active partner in international efforts aimed at establishing principles of integrity and transparency, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
