دخل التصعيد بين واشنطن وطهران مرحلة أكثر حدة، بعدما أعلن الجيش الأمريكي تنفيذ الجولة الحادية عشرة من الضربات ضد إيران، في وقت تتصاعد فيه التحذيرات الدولية من اتساع رقعة المواجهة وتهديد أمن الملاحة في المنطقة.
وأكدت القيادة العسكرية الأمريكية أن الهجمات استهدفت مواقع عسكرية إيرانية، شملت منشآت لتخزين الطائرات المسيّرة، وقدرات بحرية، إضافة إلى حظائر للطائرات، مشيرة إلى أن إيران شنت خلال الأشهر الثلاثة الماضية هجمات استهدفت أكثر من 30 سفينة تجارية.
وقال وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو إن واشنطن لا تزال منفتحة على الدخول في مفاوضات لتسوية الخلافات، لكنه اتهم طهران بعدم إظهار جدية كافية تجاه مسار الحوار، محذرًا من أن تهديد الممرات المائية الدولية يمثل سابقة خطيرة تهدد قواعد التجارة العالمية.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد أكد أن العمليات العسكرية ضد إيران لم تنتهِ، مشيرًا إلى أن طهران ستحتاج سنوات طويلة لإعادة بناء ما دمرته الحرب، ومعلنًا أن واشنطن ستواصل تحركاتها العسكرية.
The escalation between Washington and Tehran has entered a more intense phase, following the announcement by the U.S. military of the execution of the eleventh round of strikes against Iran, at a time when international warnings are escalating about the widening confrontation and the threat to maritime security in the region.
The U.S. military leadership confirmed that the attacks targeted Iranian military sites, including facilities for storing drones, naval capabilities, as well as aircraft hangars, noting that Iran has launched attacks targeting more than 30 commercial ships over the past three months.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington remains open to entering negotiations to resolve the disputes, but he accused Tehran of not showing sufficient seriousness regarding the dialogue process, warning that threatening international waterways represents a dangerous precedent that threatens the rules of global trade.
U.S. President Donald Trump had confirmed that military operations against Iran are not over, indicating that Tehran will need many years to rebuild what the war has destroyed, and announcing that Washington will continue its military movements.
