أجرى سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى المملكة المتحدة وإيرلندا الشمالية الأمير عبدالله بن خالد بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز محادثات ولقاءات مع كبار المسؤولين البريطانيين وقيادات الشركات البريطانية والدولية الرائدة في قطاعي الدفاع والطيران والفضاء؛ لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الدفاعي، وفرص الشراكة في مجالات التقنيات المتقدمة والابتكار والتنمية الصناعية، وذلك ضمن زيارته لمعرض فارنبورو الدولي للطيران 2026 المقام في المملكة المتحدة. شراكة إستراتيجية وتناولت المحادثات سبل الارتقاء بالتعاون الدفاعي بين المملكة العربية السعودية والمملكة المتحدة بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين، ويسهم في المحافظة على الأمن الإقليمي والدولي، في ظل الشراكة الإستراتيجية الوثيقة التي تجمع البلدين، وما يمثله التعاون الدفاعي من ركيزة أساسية في العلاقات الثنائية. والتقى عدداً من كبار مسؤولي وزارة الدفاع البريطانية، كما اجتمع مع مسؤولي عدد من الشركات البريطانية والدولية الرائدة، إذ ركزت المحادثات على مجالات تبادل التقنيات، والبحث والابتكار، والتنمية الصناعية، وتنمية الكفاءات، بما يدعم مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 ويعزز الشراكات الصناعية بين الجانبين. The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, held discussions and meetings with senior British officials and leaders of leading British and international companies in the defense, aviation, and space sectors; to explore ways to enhance defense cooperation and partnership opportunities in advanced technologies, innovation, and industrial development, during his visit to the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 held in the United Kingdom. Strategic Partnership The discussions addressed ways to elevate defense cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom to serve the common interests of both countries and contribute to maintaining regional and international security, in light of the close strategic partnership that binds the two countries, and what defense cooperation represents as a fundamental pillar in bilateral relations. He met with several senior officials from the British Ministry of Defence, as well as with officials from a number of leading British and international companies, focusing on areas of technology exchange, research and innovation, industrial development, and capacity building, in support of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and to enhance industrial partnerships between the two sides.
