حقق منتخبنا الوطني السعودي تحت 16 عاما لقب بطولة كأس اتحاد غرب آسيا تحت 17 عاما 2025، عقب فوزه على نظيره اللبناني بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة (5 - 3)، بعد انتهاء الوقت الأصلي بالتعادل الإيجابي بهدف لمثله، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما اليوم (الثلاثاء) على ملعب العقبة في الأردن.
وشهد اللقاء سيطرة سعودية وسط تراجع منتخب لبنان الذي اعتمد لاعبوه على الهجمات المرتدة وتمكن من الاستفادة من إحداها بعد أن استغل مهاجمه عدنان ماضي غفوة الحارس عبدالله الماس ليخطف الكرة ويسكنها في الشباك (د:73)، ورغم ذلك لم يتوقف هجوم الأخضر وأجرى المدرب الوطني أحمد الحنفوش عدة تغييرات كان أبرزها إشراك الثنائي عبدالعزيز بن فارس ويزن عبدرب النبي، وسجل يزن عبدرب النبي من كرة عالية حولها برأسه لداخل المرمى هدف تعادل قاتلاً للأخضر السعودي (د:90)، ليحتكم المنتخبان لركلات الترجيح ويتمكن الحارس عبدالله الماس من التصدي لركلة الترجيح الأولى للمنتخب اللبناني فيما تمكن نجوم الأخضر من تسجيل الركلات الخمس بنجاح لينتصر المنتخب السعودي بنتيجة 5/ 3.
وبهذا التتويج يواصل المنتخب السعودي للفئات السنية تحقيق نتائجه المميزة في المشاركات الإقليمية، تأكيدا لتطور منظومة المنتخبات السنية ضمن برامج الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم.
Our national team, the Saudi U-16, has won the title of the West Asian Football Federation U-17 Cup 2025, after defeating their Lebanese counterpart in a penalty shootout with a score of (5 - 3), following a 1-1 draw at the end of regular time, in the match held today (Tuesday) at the Aqaba Stadium in Jordan.
The match saw Saudi dominance while the Lebanese team retreated, relying on counter-attacks. They managed to capitalize on one of these when their striker Adnan Madi took advantage of a lapse from goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Mas to seize the ball and score in the net (73rd minute). Despite this, the Green's attack did not stop, and national coach Ahmed Al-Hanfoosh made several substitutions, the most notable being the introduction of duo Abdulaziz bin Faris and Yazan Abed Al-Nabi. Yazan Abed Al-Nabi scored a last-minute equalizer for the Saudi Green with a header from a high ball (90th minute), leading both teams to a penalty shootout where goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Mas saved the first penalty from the Lebanese team, while the stars of the Green successfully converted all five penalties, allowing the Saudi team to win with a score of 5/3.
With this victory, the Saudi youth teams continue to achieve remarkable results in regional competitions, confirming the development of the youth teams' system within the programs of the Saudi Football Federation.
