ثمَّن رئيس التكتل الوطني للإنقاذ (توق) عبدالمجيد بن فريد العولقي الدور السعودي الفاعل لمنع انزلاق اليمن إلى الصراعات والحروب.
وقال العولقي لـ«عكاظ»: «السعودية كانت ولا تزال إلى جانب بلادنا في كل المواقف، ولعل رفضها لمساعي بعض الفوضويين لتمزيق بلادنا أكبر دليل على ذلك».
وأوضح رئيس التكتل أن القضية الجنوبية عادلة وسيتم وضعها ضمن القضايا التي ستكون على طاولة المفاوضات السياسية في أي عملية سلام قادمة، مبيناً أن «الاستقواء بالخارج لتدمير البلاد خطأ كبير، وحذرنا منه مراراً، لكنهم أصروا على أفعالهم، ما أجبر مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني على تفويض التحالف العربي للقيام بمهامه في إسقاط المخططات الخبيثة».
ولفت إلى أن «مؤتمر الرياض الجنوبي يمثل خطوة في الاتجاه الصحيح، خصوصاً أنه يحظى برعاية واحتضان المملكة له، ما يدفعنا لتوقع نتائج إيجابية لصالح القضية الجنوبية منذ إعلان المملكة الترحيب والقبول للمبادرة»، مؤكداً أن المؤتمر سيضع القضية الجنوبية في مسارها الصحيح.
وأشار إلى أن تأكيد المملكة بأن يمثل المؤتمر كافة الشخصيات الجنوبية رسالة واضحة للجميع بأن القضية الجنوبية ليست محصورة بمكون واحد أو شخصية معينة تعمل لاستغلالها لصالحها الخاص، بل سيستفيد من مخرجات المؤتمر كل أبناء الجنوب في اليمن.
ودعا العولقي إلى ضرورة تغليب الحكمة وتوحيد الصفوف ونبذ الخلافات والتكاتف والتوقف عن أي شعارات تؤدي إلى تعميق الهوة بين الشعب اليمني بما يخدم الحوثي ومن يقف معه.
The President of the National Rescue Coalition (Tawq), Abdul Majid bin Farid Al-Awlaki, praised the active Saudi role in preventing Yemen from slipping into conflicts and wars.
Al-Awlaki said to "Okaz": "Saudi Arabia has been and continues to stand by our country in all situations, and perhaps its rejection of the attempts by some anarchists to tear our country apart is the greatest evidence of that."
The coalition president clarified that the southern issue is just and will be placed among the issues that will be on the table for political negotiations in any upcoming peace process, indicating that "relying on foreign powers to destroy the country is a grave mistake, and we have warned against it repeatedly, but they insisted on their actions, which forced the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council to delegate the Arab coalition to carry out its tasks in thwarting the malicious plans."
He pointed out that "the Southern Riyadh Conference represents a step in the right direction, especially since it enjoys the sponsorship and support of the Kingdom, which leads us to expect positive results for the southern issue since the Kingdom announced its welcome and acceptance of the initiative," affirming that the conference will place the southern issue on its correct path.
He noted that the Kingdom's confirmation that the conference will represent all southern figures is a clear message to everyone that the southern issue is not confined to a single component or a specific individual working to exploit it for their own benefit, but rather all the people of the south in Yemen will benefit from the outcomes of the conference.
Al-Awlaki called for the necessity of prioritizing wisdom, unifying ranks, rejecting disputes, and standing together, while stopping any slogans that deepen the divide among the Yemeni people in a way that serves the Houthis and those who stand with them.
