ثمَّنت الندوة العالمية للشباب الإسلامي مشاركة المملكة العربية السعودية المميزة في الدورة الـ57 من معرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب 2026، مؤكدةً أنها تُمثّل نموذجاً حضاريّاً متوازناً يجمع بين أصالة الموروث الثقافي واستشراف آفاق المعرفة لشباب المستقبل.
وأوضحت الندوة أن تولّي هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة قيادة المشاركة السعودية، بمشاركة 10 جهات حكومية، أسهمت في تعزيز مكانة المملكة بوصفها قوة ثقافية فاعلة إقليمياً ودولياً.
وأشادت الندوة بتنوّع المحتوى المقدم، بين أحدث الإصدارات العلمية والأدبية وبرنامج ثقافي ثري شمل الندوات والأمسيات الشعرية، بما يعزّز الحوار الثقافي، وينشر قيم الوسطية، مما يؤكد التزام المملكة بدعم صناعة النشر وتمكين الشباب معرفياً وبناء الوعي.
وتشهد الدورة 57 لمعرض القاهرة للكتاب مشاركة واسعة من المملكة العربية السعودية، تقودها هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة، بمشاركة 10 جهات حكومية (مثل وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية، مجمع الملك سلمان للغة العربية، مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية، وغيرها)، وتشمل برنامجاً ثقافياً غنياً بالندوات والأمسيات الشعرية.
وافتتح رئيس الوزراء المصري الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي، اليوم الأربعاء، نيابةً عن الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي، فعاليات الدورة الـ57 لمعرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب، التي تقام تحت رعاية رئيس الجمهورية، بمركز مصر للمعارض الدولية بالتجمع الخامس، خلال الفترة من 21 يناير وحتى 3 فبراير 2026.
وتحمل نسخة هذا العام شعار «من يتوقف عن القراءة ساعة يتأخر قروناً»، وهو اقتباس من الأديب الكبير نجيب محفوظ، الحاصل على جائزة نوبل؛ الذي اختير شخصيةً المعرض هذا العام، فيما تم اختيار الفنان الكبير محيي الدين اللباد شخصيةً لمعرض كتاب الطفل؛ تقديراً لمسيرته التي جمعت بين ثراء الخيال وجمال الصورة في وجدان الأجيال، فضلاً عن اختيار شخصية «الكاتب المصري» محوراً لفعاليات المعرض.
ويُعد معرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب أحد أكبر معارض الكتب في العالم، وثاني أكبر معرض بعد فرانكفورت، ويُقام سنوياً منذ عام 1969، ويزوره ملايين الزوار، ويجمع أكثر من 1,400 دار نشر من عشرات الدول.

The World Forum for Islamic Youth has valued the distinguished participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the 57th Cairo International Book Fair 2026, affirming that it represents a balanced civilizational model that combines the authenticity of cultural heritage with the foresight of knowledge horizons for the youth of the future.
The forum clarified that the Saudi participation is led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, in collaboration with 10 government entities, which has contributed to enhancing the Kingdom's status as an active cultural power regionally and internationally.
The forum praised the diversity of the content presented, ranging from the latest scientific and literary publications to a rich cultural program that included seminars and poetry evenings, which enhances cultural dialogue and spreads the values of moderation, confirming the Kingdom's commitment to supporting the publishing industry and empowering youth intellectually and building awareness.
The 57th edition of the Cairo Book Fair witnesses extensive participation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, along with 10 government entities (such as the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the King Salman Center for the Arabic Language, the King Fahd National Library, and others), and includes a rich cultural program of seminars and poetry evenings.
The Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated today, Wednesday, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the activities of the 57th Cairo International Book Fair, which is held under the patronage of the President of the Republic, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement, from January 21 to February 3, 2026.
This year's edition carries the slogan "Whoever stops reading for an hour falls behind for centuries," a quote from the great writer Naguib Mahfouz, who won the Nobel Prize; he has been chosen as the personality of the fair this year, while the great artist Mohieddin Al-Labad has been selected as the personality for the Children's Book Fair, in recognition of his career that combined the richness of imagination and the beauty of imagery in the hearts of generations, in addition to choosing the "Egyptian Writer" as the central theme of the fair's activities.
The Cairo International Book Fair is considered one of the largest book fairs in the world and the second largest after Frankfurt, held annually since 1969, attracting millions of visitors and gathering more than 1,400 publishing houses from dozens of countries.
