أعلن المجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام، برئاسة المهندس خالد عبد العزيز، إحالة الموسيقار هاني مهنا إلى اتحاد النقابات الفنية، برئاسة المخرج عمر عبد العزيز، لاتخاذ ما يلزم من إجراءات، على خلفية تصريحات أدلى بها في أحد البرامج التلفزيونية، ورأى المجلس أنها تضمنت إساءة وهجوماً على عدد من رموز الفن المصري.
إيقاف الظهور الإعلامي مؤقتاً
وتضمن القرار إلزام جميع الوسائل الإعلامية الخاضعة لأحكام القانون رقم (180) لسنة 2018، بمنع استضافة أو ظهور هاني مهنا إعلامياً، إلى حين انتهاء اتحاد النقابات الفنية من فحص الواقعة والانتهاء من إجراءاته الرسمية.
توصيات الرصد والشكاوى
وجاء قرار المنع استناداً إلى ما رصدته الإدارة العامة للرصد بالمجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام، إضافة إلى توصيات لجنة الشكاوى، برئاسة الإعلامي عصام الأمير، وكيل المجلس، بشأن التصريحات المثيرة للجدل التي أطلقها مهنا.
شرارة الأزمة.. أم كلثوم بعد النكسة
بدأت الأزمة عقب تصريحات لهاني مهنا تحدث فيها عن مرحلة ما بعد نكسة 1967، معتبراً أن كوكب الشرق أم كلثوم كانت تمر بضائقة مالية، وأن الدولة هي من تولت تنظيم حفلاتها الخارجية لدعم المجهود الحربي، وهو ما اعتبره كثيرون انتقاصاً من دورها الوطني وتاريخها الفني.
خلاف مزعوم يشعل الغضب
وتصاعد الجدل بعد حديث مهنا في برنامج «كلام الناس» مع الإعلامية ياسمين عز، عن خلاف مزعوم بين الفنانتين الراحلتين فاتن حمامة وشادية، مشيراً إلى واقعة قيل إنها شهدت رفض فاتن حمامة لمشروع عمل مشترك، بعبارات وُصفت بأنها غير لائقة ولا تليق بمكانة «سيدة الشاشة العربية».
رد عائلة شادية
وفي أول رد عائلي، خرجت ناهد شاكر، ابنة شقيقة الفنانة الراحلة شادية، بتعليق مقتضب وحاد عبر حسابها على «فيسبوك»، قالت فيه:
«في فيديو اتبعت لي لتخريف شخص ما.. وأنا ما لقتش مكان للفيديو غير سلة المهملات».
غضب واسع في الوسط الفني
وشهدت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي حالة غضب واسعة، حيث هاجم جمهور ومحبو شادية وفاتن حمامة تصريحات هاني مهنا، ورفضوا ما ورد فيها، واعتبروها روايات غير دقيقة وتمس رموزاً فنية لها مكانتها الكبيرة.
مهنا يرد: لم أقصد الإساءة
من جانبه، نفى الموسيقار هاني مهنا تعمده الإساءة إلى رموز الفن المصري، مؤكداً أن تصريحاته أُخرجت من سياقها. وقال إن أي إساءة لزملائه تُعد إهانة له شخصياً، ولا تتوافق مع تاريخه أو أسلوبه، مشدداً على أن الجدل أُثير بسبب تحريف حديثه وتداوله بشكل غير دقيق.
The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, chaired by Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, announced the referral of musician Hani Mohanna to the Federation of Artistic Unions, headed by director Omar Abdel Aziz, to take the necessary measures following statements he made in a television program, which the council deemed to contain insults and attacks on several icons of Egyptian art.

The decision included obligating all media outlets subject to the provisions of Law No. (180) of 2018 to prevent the hosting or media appearance of Hani Mohanna until the Federation of Artistic Unions completes its investigation into the incident and concludes its official procedures.

The ban was based on what was monitored by the General Administration for Monitoring at the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, in addition to the recommendations of the Complaints Committee, chaired by media figure Essam Al-Amir, the council's deputy, regarding the controversial statements made by Mohanna.
The Spark of the Crisis: Umm Kulthum After the Setback
The crisis began following statements made by Hani Mohanna in which he spoke about the period after the 1967 setback, considering that the Star of the East, Umm Kulthum, was going through a financial crisis, and that the state was the one that organized her foreign concerts to support the war effort, which many considered a diminishment of her national role and artistic history.
Alleged Dispute Ignites Anger
The controversy escalated after Mohanna's remarks on the program "Kalam Al-Nas" with media figure Yasmin Ezz, regarding an alleged dispute between the late artists Faten Hamama and Shadia, referring to an incident that reportedly involved Faten Hamama's rejection of a joint project, with phrases described as inappropriate and unworthy of the status of the "Lady of the Arab Screen."
Response from Shadia's Family
In the first family response, Nahed Shakir, the niece of the late artist Shadia, made a brief and sharp comment on her Facebook account, stating:
"I received a video of someone’s nonsense... and I found no place for the video other than the trash bin."
Widespread Anger in the Artistic Community
Social media witnessed widespread anger, as fans and admirers of Shadia and Faten Hamama attacked Hani Mohanna's statements, rejecting what was mentioned in them, and considering them inaccurate narratives that touch upon artistic icons of great stature.
Mohanna Responds: I Did Not Intend to Insult
For his part, musician Hani Mohanna denied any intention to insult the icons of Egyptian art, affirming that his statements were taken out of context. He stated that any insult to his colleagues is a personal affront to him and does not align with his history or style, emphasizing that the controversy arose due to the distortion of his words and their inaccurate circulation.
