أكد وزير الطاقة الأمير عبد العزيز بن سلمان، أن «أوبك+» ساهمت بشكل كبير خلال الأعوام الماضية في أن تكون التقلبات في سوق النفط محدودة جداً، رغم وجود أحداث جيوسياسية واقتصادية مؤثرة على الأسواق.
وقال الوزير خلال مشاركته بالدورة الخامسة من مؤتمر ومعرض الكويت للنفط والغاز:«على مدى عامين لم أنطق شخصياً بكلمة واحدة في المجال العام حول رؤيتي لسوق النفط، وذلك ببساطة لأنني أرى أن السوق باتت تحكمها عوامل عديدة ومتداخلة».
أحداث وتحديات كبرى
وأشار إلى أن الكثير مما يؤثر على اتجاه السوق حالياً لا علاقة له بمنظمة أوبك أو تحالف «أوبك +»، أو حتى بأساسيات السوق، إنما تحركه بدرجة كبيرة اعتبارات جيوسياسية وقضايا اقتصادية متعددة إضافة إلى التجارة وغيرها من العوامل.
وأضاف: «متى شهدنا سوقاً أكثر استقراراً وأقل تقلباً مما شهدناه خلال السنوات الـ6 ونصف الماضية؟، وذلك رغم كل التحديات والأحداث الكبرى التى مرت بها الأسواق».
وذكر قائلا:«مصلحتنا الجوهرية والأساسية في أوبك بلس هي الحفاظ على استقرار مستدام للأسواق النفطية وهذه هي المهمة الأعمق والأهم، وهي في نهاية المطاف الأساس الذي سيقودنا إلى تحقيق النتائج المرجوة».
Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman confirmed that "OPEC+" has significantly contributed over the past years to keeping fluctuations in the oil market very limited, despite the presence of geopolitical and economic events affecting the markets.
The minister stated during his participation in the fifth session of the Kuwait Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition: "For two years, I have not personally uttered a single word in the public domain regarding my vision for the oil market, simply because I see that the market is now governed by many intertwined and complex factors."
Major Events and Challenges
He pointed out that much of what currently affects market direction has nothing to do with OPEC or the "OPEC+" alliance, or even market fundamentals, but is largely driven by geopolitical considerations and various economic issues in addition to trade and other factors.
He added: "When have we witnessed a more stable and less volatile market than what we have seen over the past six and a half years? This is despite all the challenges and major events that the markets have gone through."
He mentioned, saying: "Our core and fundamental interest in OPEC+ is to maintain sustainable stability in the oil markets, and this is the deeper and more important mission, which ultimately is the foundation that will lead us to achieve the desired results."
