في واقعة صادمة فجّرت موجة غضب عارمة، تحولت شقة سكنية في منطقة المرج بالقاهرة إلى مسرح لجريمة مروّعة، بعدما أقدم أب وزوجته الثانية على تعذيب طفلته البالغة من العمر 12 عاماً، وتكبيلها ثم إشعال النيران في جسدها، بدعوى الشك في سلوكها.

بدأت القصة عندما استقبل أحد المستشفيات طفلة في الصف الخامس الابتدائي، تعاني من حروق بالغة الخطورة في معظم أنحاء جسدها، وسط اشتباه طبي في وجود شبهة جنائية، ما استدعى إخطار الأجهزة الأمنية على الفور.

وكشفت التحقيقات الأولية أن الطفلة تعاني من حروق من الدرجة الثالثة طالت نحو 95% من جسدها، وأن حالتها الصحية وُصفت بالحرجة، فيما أظهرت المعاينات تعرضها لتعذيب ممنهج قبل إشعال النار بها.

وبحسب ما توصلت إليه التحريات، فإن زوجة الأب ادّعت زوراً سوء سلوك الطفلة، وهو ما دفع الأب إلى تقييد ابنته داخل المنزل، قبل أن ينهال عليها بالضرب بمشاركة زوجته، ثم سكب مادة قابلة للاشتعال على جسدها وإضرام النيران فيها، في مشهد وصفه المحققون بـ«غير الإنساني».

وعقب تقنين الإجراءات، ألقت قوات الأمن القبض على زوجة الأب، التي أقرت بتفاصيل الجريمة، بينما تكثف الأجهزة الأمنية جهودها لضبط الأب المتهم، الذي فرّ من موقع الحادث عقب ارتكاب الواقعة.

وتباشر النيابة العامة بالقاهرة التحقيقات الموسعة في القضية، وسط مطالبات رقمية بتوقيع أقصى العقوبات على المتورطين في الجريمة التي أعادت إلى الواجهة ملف العنف الأسري وجرائم تعذيب الأطفال.

In a shocking incident that sparked a wave of outrage, an apartment in the Al-Marj area of Cairo turned into the scene of a horrific crime, after a father and his second wife tortured their 12-year-old daughter, bound her, and then set her body on fire, claiming suspicions about her behavior.

The story began when a hospital received a fifth-grade girl suffering from severe burns over most of her body, amid medical suspicion of a criminal act, which necessitated immediate notification of the security authorities.

Initial investigations revealed that the girl suffered from third-degree burns covering about 95% of her body, and her health condition was described as critical, while examinations showed she had been subjected to systematic torture before being set on fire.

According to the findings of the investigations, the father's wife falsely claimed the girl was misbehaving, which led the father to restrain his daughter inside the house, before he and his wife beat her, then poured a flammable substance on her body and ignited it, in a scene described by investigators as "inhuman."

After legal procedures were put in place, security forces arrested the father's wife, who confessed to the details of the crime, while security agencies intensified their efforts to apprehend the accused father, who fled the scene after committing the act.

The Public Prosecution in Cairo is conducting extensive investigations into the case, amid digital calls for the maximum penalties to be imposed on those involved in the crime, which has brought the issue of domestic violence and child torture back to the forefront.
