أيد الكرملين، اليوم (الخميس)، اتفاق التعاون النووي بين السعودية وأمريكا، مؤكداً أنه حق لجميع الدول في استخدام التكنولوجيا النووية للأغراض السلمية، بما في ذلك المملكة العربية السعودية.
وقال المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف للصحفيين اليوم: «ينبغي أن يكون هذا الحق متاحاً للسعودية ولجميع الدول الأخرى»، موضحاً أن موقف روسيا من نظام عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية معروف للجميع، لكن الطاقة النووية السلمية يجب أن تكون في متناول الجميع.
بدوره، أوضح وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف أن التخصيب السلمي حق لكل دولة. ووقعت السعودية والولايات المتحدة، أمس، اتفاقية تعاون نووي.
يأتي توقيع الاتفاقية في إطار الشراكة الإستراتيجية الراسخة التي تجمع المملكة العربية السعودية والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، واستكمالاً لما أُعلن خلال زيارة ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان إلى الولايات المتحدة في نوفمبر الماضي، بما يعكس متانة العلاقات الثنائية وتوسع آفاق التعاون بين البلدين.
وتهدف الاتفاقية، التي وقعها وزير الطاقة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سلمان ونظيره الأمريكي كريس رايت، إلى تعزيز التعاون في مجال الاستخدامات السلمية للطاقة النووية، وتوسيع تبادل الخبرات والمعارف والتقنيات، بما يدعم تطوير العمل المشترك وفق أعلى المعايير الدولية للأمن والأمان النوويين ومنع الانتشار النووي، ويجسد الرؤية المشتركة للرياض وواشنطن لتعزيز التعاون في قطاعات الطاقة والتقنيات المستقبلية ودعم مستهدفات التنمية المستدامة.
The Kremlin endorsed the nuclear cooperation agreement between Saudi Arabia and the United States today (Thursday), affirming that it is a right for all countries to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters today: “This right should be available to Saudi Arabia and all other countries,” explaining that Russia's position on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons is well known, but peaceful nuclear energy should be accessible to everyone.
For his part, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov clarified that peaceful enrichment is a right for every country. Saudi Arabia and the United States signed a nuclear cooperation agreement yesterday.
The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the established strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, and as a continuation of what was announced during Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the United States last November, reflecting the strength of bilateral relations and expanding the horizons of cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement, signed by Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and his American counterpart Chris Wright, aims to enhance cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, expand the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and technologies, and support the development of joint work according to the highest international standards for nuclear security and safety and non-proliferation, embodying the shared vision of Riyadh and Washington to enhance cooperation in energy sectors, future technologies, and support sustainable development goals.
