أعرب الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم البديوي عن إدانته واستنكاره للاعتداءات التي استهدفت المملكة العربية السعودية بواسطة طائرات مسيرة أطلقتها المليشيات التابعة لإيران في العراق، مؤكداً أن هذه الاعتداءات تمثل تصعيداً خطيراً وانتهاكاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي، وتهديداً مباشراً لأمن واستقرار المنطقة.

وأعلن البديوي تضامن مجلس التعاون الكامل مع المملكة، وتأييده لجميع ما تتخذه من إجراءات لحماية أمنها وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها.

وكان المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع اللواء الركن تركي المالكي أعلن في وقت سابق اليوم أن الدفاعات الجوية اعترضت ودمرت عدداً من المسيّرات خلال الساعات الماضية التي حاولت استهداف منشآت بترولية بالمنطقتين الشرقية والرياض.

وأوضح اللواء المالكي أن هذه المحاولات الإرهابية انطلقت من الأراضي العراقية ونفذتها مليشيات إرهابية تابعة لإيران، مؤكداً حق المملكة الأصيل في الدفاع عن نفسها ومقدراتها واحتفاظها بحق الرد في الوقت والمكان المناسبين.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, expressed his condemnation and denunciation of the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by drones launched by Iranian-affiliated militias in Iraq, affirming that these attacks represent a serious escalation and a blatant violation of international law, as well as a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

Al-Budaiwi announced the full solidarity of the Gulf Cooperation Council with the Kingdom, supporting all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, announced earlier today that air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones in recent hours that attempted to target oil facilities in the Eastern Province and Riyadh.

Major General Al-Maliki clarified that these terrorist attempts originated from Iraqi territory and were carried out by Iranian-affiliated terrorist militias, affirming the Kingdom's inherent right to defend itself and its resources, and to retain the right to respond at the appropriate time and place.
