شارك وزير الثقافة رئيس اللجنة الوطنية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، في الدورة الـ43 للمؤتمر العام لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو)، المقام خلال الفترة (30 أكتوبر إلى 13 نوفمبر) في مدينة سمرقند بأوزبكستان.
وفي مستهل كلمته أعرب وزير الثقافة عن اعتزازه بالشراكة المتينة بين المملكة ومنظمة اليونسكو منذ عام 1946، التي كانت بفضل توجيهات القيادة الحكيمة مسهمة وداعمة لجميع المساعي النبيلة لتحقيق أهداف المنظمة، متطلعاً إلى مواصلة المزيد من الإنجازات المشتركة بعد تحقيق المنظمة العديد من النجاحات طيلة العقود الثمانية بتكاتف جهود الجميع.
وأشار إلى تحقيق المملكة إنجازات مميزة في مجال التربية والثقافة والعلوم على الصعيد المحلي والدولي، ودعمت عبر عضويتها الفاعلة في المجلس التنفيذي إستراتيجيات المنظمة وتعزيز قدرتها على تنفيذ برامجها الحيوية، كما استفاد من الصندوق السعودي لدعم حماية الثقافة والتراث 136 دولة حول العالم، معتبراً اختيار المملكة لاستضافة الدورة المقبلة من مؤتمر اليونسكو العالمي للسياسات الثقافية والتنمية المستدامة «موندياكولت» عام 2029م انعكاساً لدورها المحوري في دعم التعاون الثقافي العالمي.
وأفاد وزير الثقافة أن المملكة بالتعاون مع شركائها الدوليين تواصل جهودها لنشر رسالة التسامح، والاعتدال، منوهاً بالدور المحوري للثقافة بصفتها جسراً حضاريّاً للتواصل بين الشعوب، وركيزة أساسية للتنمية المستدامة.
وفي ختام كلمته، قال وزير الثقافة: «إن ما حققته المملكة من منجزات متنوعة على الأصعدة كافة، إنما هو ترجمة عملية لرؤية المملكة 2030 التي جعلت التربية والثقافة والعلوم في قلب التنمية الوطنية».
The Minister of Culture, Chairman of the National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, participated today (Tuesday) in the 43rd session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), held from October 30 to November 13 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of his speech, the Minister of Culture expressed his pride in the strong partnership between the Kingdom and UNESCO since 1946, which, thanks to the guidance of wise leadership, has contributed to and supported all noble efforts to achieve the organization's goals. He looked forward to continuing further joint achievements after the organization has realized many successes over the past eight decades through the collective efforts of all.
He pointed out that the Kingdom has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the fields of education, culture, and science at both the local and international levels, and through its active membership in the Executive Council, it has supported the organization's strategies and enhanced its ability to implement its vital programs. Additionally, 136 countries around the world have benefited from the Saudi Fund for the Protection of Culture and Heritage, considering the Kingdom's selection to host the next session of the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development, "Mondiacult," in 2029 as a reflection of its pivotal role in supporting global cultural cooperation.
The Minister of Culture stated that the Kingdom, in collaboration with its international partners, continues its efforts to spread the message of tolerance and moderation, emphasizing the pivotal role of culture as a civilizational bridge for communication between peoples and a fundamental pillar for sustainable development.
In conclusion, the Minister of Culture said: "What the Kingdom has achieved in diverse accomplishments across all levels is a practical translation of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places education, culture, and science at the heart of national development."
