في جبال الباحة، لا تُقاس قيمة البناء بارتفاع الجدران.. بل بمدى اتساع الأفق من شرفاتها،

فالمنزل الذي لا يُطلّ على الغيم.. لا يليق بأرضٍ وُلدت من رحم الضباب.. وتربت على النسيم البارد وصوت المطر.

لقد أرهقنا تكرار النمط نفسه:

مبانٍ مربعة.. مغلقة على نفسها.. نوافذها خجولة لا ترى منها إلا الجدار المقابل.. وكأننا نبني في صحراء.. لا على سفوحٍ تحتضن الغيوم.

إن السائح الذي يقطع المسافات إلى الباحة.. لم يأتِ ليُغلق على نفسه باب غرفة.. بل جاء ليجلس في مواجهة الوادي.. يسمع خرير الماء.. ويشمّ عبير العرعر.. ويرى كيف يعانق الغيمُ الشجر.. جاء ليجد هواءً نقياً ومكاناً مفتوحاً للحياة، لا علبة إسمنتية مغلقة.

نقولها بلا خجل: من أراد أن يبني في الباحة، فليبنِ بوعي الجبل لا بعشوائية المدينة! اجعلوا الإطلالة محور التصميم، لا الإكساء الخارجي.

واجعلوا الضوء والهواء يدخلان قبل النزيل.. فالشرفة ليست كمالاً... إنها روح المكان. ومن دونها، يفقد البناء معناه، وتفقد الباحة هويتها السياحية التي لوّنتها الطبيعة لا الخرسانة.

الباحة تستحق أن تُبنى كما تُحب أن تُرى:

• بواجهات حجرية تتنفس هواء الجبل.

• بشرفات تمتد على الوادي.

• بجلسات تحاكي الضباب لا تخشاه.

• بنمط معماري يحفظ شكلها الطبيعي وهوية قراها القديمة.

فالمعماري الحقيقي ليس من يملأ الأرض جدرانًا، بل من يجعل الهواء جزءًا من التصميم.

نرجو من أمانة الباحة وهيئة السياحة أن تُعيد النظر في اشتراطات البناء السياحي..

وأن تُلزم المشاريع الجديدة بتوفير شرفات مطلة وجلسات مفتوحة ومساحات تناغم بين الداخل والخارج.

فالباحة ليست مشروعًا تجاريًا فحسب... إنها هوية وطنية ومتنفس للروح..

The tourist who travels distances to Al-Baha did not come to close himself off behind a room door; he came to sit facing the valley, to hear the trickling water, to smell the scent of juniper, and to see how the clouds embrace the trees. He came to find clean air and an open space for life, not a closed concrete box.

We say it without shame: Those who wish to build in Al-Baha should build with the awareness of the mountain, not with the randomness of the city! Make the view the focus of the design, not the external cladding.

Let light and air enter before the guest, for the balcony is not a luxury... it is the soul of the place. Without it, the building loses its meaning, and Al-Baha loses its tourist identity that nature, not concrete, has colored.

Al-Baha deserves to be built as it wishes to be seen:

• With balconies extending over the valley.

• With seating areas that mimic the fog, not fear it.

• With an architectural style that preserves its natural shape and the identity of its old villages.

We hope that the Al-Baha Municipality and the Tourism Authority will reconsider the requirements for tourist construction...

And that they will require new projects to provide overlooking balconies, open seating areas, and harmonious spaces between the interior and exterior.

For Al-Baha is not just a commercial project... it is a national identity and a breath of fresh air for the soul...

Al-Baha is not sought to be inhabited,
