القصة أداة وجودية، فهي تضفي للوجود معنى وعبرها تتناقل الخبرات الإنسانية، فالقصة والأسطورة جند من جنود الله، والقرآن كتاب يحوي «أحسن القصص» ومجمع المعجزات السردية، ومنذ فجر حكايات الجدات وحتى عصر الرواية الحديثة، كان جوهر السرد إجابة لثلاثة أسئلة: ما القصة؟ ومن يرويها؟ ولماذا يقصها؟.

واليوم في عالمنا الرقمي نشهد على السرد التفاعلي والميتاسرد الذي يجعلنا أكثر من متلقين بل نحن جزء من القصة.

فالراوي العليم التقليدي أصبح خوارزميات ذكية موزعة.

السرد التقليدي عند ديفيد هيرمان هو: «طريقة لتنظيم التجربة البشرية في شكل متسلسل من الأحداث، يقدم إحساسًا بالتماسك والمعنى».

وهو بهذا المعنى ليس حكرًا على الأدب، بل يشمل الصحافة والعلوم والتاريخ...

أما السرد الرقمي فهو استخدام الوسائط الرقمية كالنص والصورة والصوت والفيديو في بناء القصة.

فهو سرد يتجاوز النص المكتوب ليصبح متعدد الوسائط قائم على التوليد والتفاعل.

فالقصة التي كانت مغلقة صارت قصة مفتوحة، ولم يعد مؤلفها واحدًا بل متعدد: هو المؤلف والجمهور والخوارزميات.

والقصة العابرة للمنصات تتوزع في لعبة فيديو وفيلم وأغنية... ويستطيع المستخدم أن يغيّر سيناريو الأحداث ومصائر الأبطال، بمعنى أن الراوي العليم نزل من عرش إبداعه وصار راويًا متعدد الأكوان، يعرف كل شيء، وهذا يعني أن الراوي العليم لم يغب لكنه فقد سلطته الأحادية وأصبح أشبه بالشبكة السردية، التي لا تعرف للقصة مسارًا واحدًا بل تعرف كل المسارات الممكنة للقصة.

يبدو أنه لا بأس بأن نسلم أنفسنا لراوي الأكوان المتعددة، لكن لدي مأخذ أخلاقي واحد على الأقل يخص هذا الراوي وهو أنك كمستخدم لو راجعته وأبديت إعجابك بعمله فسيطريك ويكيل لك المديح ويعترف بفضلك، وإن قلت أنه أخطأ وعمله لم يعجبك فسيعتذر عن الخطأ ويبجلك ويثني عليك كذلك.

فلو كان الراوي الرقمي الذكي هذا شخص بيولوجي بلحم ودم لما كان له صفة أشد وضوحًا من كونه منافقًا كبيرًا.

The story is an existential tool; it gives meaning to existence and through it, human experiences are transmitted. The story and the myth are soldiers of God, and the Quran is a book that contains "the best stories" and a collection of narrative miracles. Since the dawn of grandmothers' tales to the era of modern novels, the essence of storytelling has been an answer to three questions: What is the story? Who tells it? And why is it told?

Today, in our digital world, we witness interactive storytelling and metastructures that make us more than mere recipients; we are part of the story.

The traditional omniscient narrator has become distributed smart algorithms.

According to David Herman, traditional storytelling is: "A way to organize human experience in a sequential form of events, providing a sense of coherence and meaning."

In this sense, it is not exclusive to literature but includes journalism, sciences, and history...

As for digital storytelling, it is the use of digital media such as text, images, sound, and video in constructing the story.

It is a narrative that transcends the written text to become multimedia-based on generation and interaction.

The story that was closed has become an open story, and its author is no longer singular but multiple: it is the author, the audience, and the algorithms.

The cross-platform story is distributed in a video game, a film, a song... and the user can change the scenario of events and the fates of the heroes, meaning that the omniscient narrator has descended from the throne of his creativity and has become a multi-universe narrator, knowing everything. This means that the omniscient narrator has not disappeared but has lost his singular authority and has become more like a narrative network, which does not recognize a single path for the story but knows all possible paths for the story.

It seems that it is okay to surrender ourselves to the narrator of multiple universes, but I have at least one ethical objection regarding this narrator: as a user, if you review him and express your admiration for his work, he will flatter you and praise you and acknowledge your contribution. If you say he made a mistake and you did not like his work, he will apologize for the mistake and also praise you.

If this intelligent digital narrator were a biological person made of flesh and blood, there would be no clearer trait than that of being a great hypocrite.
