رد البرتغالي جوزيه مورينيو، مدرب بنفيكا، على الأنباء التي ربطت اسمه بالعودة لتولي تدريب ريال مدريد، بعد نحو 13 عاماً على رحيله عن النادي الملكي.
وكان ريال مدريد قد فاجأ الجميع بإعلان إقالة تشابي ألونسو من تدريب الفريق، عقب الخسارة أمام برشلونة بنتيجة 3-2 في نهائي كأس السوبر الإسباني الأسبوع الماضي، مع تعيين ألفارو أربيلوا مدرباً مؤقتاً، وبدء تداول عدة أسماء مرشحة لقيادة الفريق في المرحلة القادمة، من بينها مورينيو.
مورينيو يعلق على شائعة العودة
وقال مورينيو في تصريح نقلته صحيفة «موندو ديبورتيفو» الإسبانية رداً على شائعة اقتراب عودته إلى ريال مدريد:«لا تعتمدوا عليّ في متابعة المسلسلات، هناك مسلسلات جيدة لكنها طويلة جداً، وإذا فاتتك حلقة أو حلقتان تفقد التركيز.. لا تعتمدوا عليّ، لأنني لا أشاهد المسلسلات».
ماذا قصد مورينيو؟
وفسّرت تقارير صحفية تصريح مورينيو الغامض على أنه نفي غير مباشر لوجود أي مفاوضات حالية بين مورينيو وإدارة ريال مدريد بشأن العودة لتدريب الفريق.
مواجهة مرتقبة في دوري الأبطال
ومن المقرر أن يلتقي بنفيكا، بقيادة مورينيو، مع ريال مدريد يوم 28 يناير الجاري، في مسابقة دوري أبطال أوروبا.
Portuguese coach José Mourinho, of Benfica, responded to the news linking his name to a return to manage Real Madrid, nearly 13 years after leaving the royal club.
Real Madrid surprised everyone by announcing the dismissal of Xabi Alonso from coaching the team, following the loss to Barcelona with a score of 3-2 in the Spanish Super Cup final last week, appointing Álvaro Arbeloa as interim coach, and starting to circulate several names as candidates to lead the team in the upcoming phase, including Mourinho.
Mourinho comments on the return rumor
Mourinho said in a statement reported by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" in response to the rumor of his potential return to Real Madrid: "Don't count on me for following series, there are good series but they are very long, and if you miss an episode or two you lose focus... don't count on me, because I don't watch series."
What did Mourinho mean?
Media reports interpreted Mourinho's ambiguous statement as an indirect denial of any current negotiations between Mourinho and the Real Madrid management regarding a return to coach the team.
Upcoming clash in the Champions League
Benfica, led by Mourinho, is scheduled to face Real Madrid on January 28th in the UEFA Champions League.
