وقّعت رئيسة هيئة حقوق الإنسان الدكتورة هلا بنت مزيد التويجري، ورئيسة اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان بدولة قطر مريم بنت عبدالله العطية اليوم مذكرة تعاون بين الجانبين في مجال حقوق الإنسان، وذلك بمقر الهيئة في الرياض.
وتهدف المذكرة إلى تعزيز التعاون في المسائل المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان وفقاً للتشريعات الوطنية في البلدين، وبناء قدرات العاملين في المجالات ذات الصلة، وتبادل الخبرات والبرامج والمشاريع المشتركة في مجال الدراسات المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان والعمل على نشرها بما يعزّز الوعي بثقافة حقوق الإنسان.
وتضمنت المذكرة تبادل الزيارات والدعوات، وعقد الندوات والمحاضرات والبرامج التدريبية المشتركة، وحضور الاجتماعات والمؤتمرات التي يعقدها أيٌّ منهما في المجالات التي تشملها مذكرة التعاون، إلى جانب الاطلاع على أفضل التجارب والممارسات في مجال حقوق الإنسان.
وفي ما يخص الإحصاءات والمعلومات، اتفق الجانبان على تبادل التقارير والأبحاث العلمية في مجال تعزيز حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها، ورفع مستوى الوعي والتثقيف بحقوق ذوي الإعاقة وحقوق الطفل وحقوق المرأة وحقوق كبار السن وغيرها من الحقوق.
وتأتي هذه المذكرة في إطار تعزيز مجالات التعاون في مجال حقوق الإنسان وتبادل الخبرات والمعلومات وفقاً للأنظمة والقوانين المعمول بها.
The Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission, Dr. Hala bint Mazid Al-Tuwaijri, and the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar, Mariam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah, today signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two sides in the field of human rights, at the Commission's headquarters in Riyadh.
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation on issues related to human rights in accordance with the national legislations of both countries, build the capacities of those working in related fields, and exchange experiences, programs, and joint projects in the field of studies related to human rights, working to disseminate them in a way that enhances awareness of the culture of human rights.
The memorandum includes the exchange of visits and invitations, holding joint seminars, lectures, and training programs, and attending meetings and conferences held by either party in the areas covered by the memorandum of cooperation, in addition to reviewing the best experiences and practices in the field of human rights.
Regarding statistics and information, both sides agreed to exchange reports and scientific research in the field of promoting and protecting human rights, and to raise awareness and education about the rights of persons with disabilities, children's rights, women's rights, the rights of the elderly, and other rights.
This memorandum comes within the framework of enhancing areas of cooperation in the field of human rights and exchanging experiences and information in accordance with the applicable regulations and laws.
