أكد رئيس الشبكة اليمنية للحقوق والحريات المستشار محمد العمدة، أن السعودية الشريك الصادق والأخ الأكبر، التي لم تتخلَّ يوماً عن مسؤوليتها التاريخية تجاه الشعب اليمني. فمقاربتها للأزمة اليمنية لم تكن يوماً انتقائية أو ظرفية، بل انطلقت من رؤية ثابتة قوامها دعم الشرعية الدستورية، والحفاظ على الدولة، وصون وحدة المجتمع، وتغليب منطق الحكمة والحوار على مسارات الفوضى والصراع.
وبين العمدة في حديثه لـ«عكاظ»، أن المؤتمر الجنوبي الجامع خطوة سياسية بالغة الأهمية، تحمل في طياتها رسائل عميقة الدلالة؛ مفادها أن الرياض حريصة على معالجة القضايا الحساسة بروح التوافق والمسؤولية، وإتاحة المجال أمام مختلف المكونات الجنوبية للتعبير عن رؤاها وتطلعاتها ضمن إطار وطني جامع، وتحت مظلة الشرعية ومؤسسات الدولة بعيداً عن الإقصاء وفرض الأمر الواقع.
وأشار المستشار اليمني إلى أن هذه الخطوة متى ما اكتملت شروطها السياسية والوطنية تمثل فرصة حقيقية لإعادة ضبط إيقاع المشهد السياسي في الجنوب، وفتح نافذة أمل لتجاوز حالة الاستقطاب والتوتر، وتعزيز فرص الاستقرار، وإعادة الاعتبار للمسار السياسي بوصفه الخيار الوحيد لبناء السلام، لا كترف سياسي بل كضرورة وطنية لحماية الدولة ومنع تفككها.
وحول دعم الشرعية قال العمدة، إن الموقف السعودي ليس موقفاً تكتيكياً عابراً، بل خيار إستراتيجي أخلاقي وسياسي، ينطلق من قناعة راسخة بأن تقسيم الجمهورية اليمنية لا يهدد اليمنيين وحدهم، بل يفتح أبواب الفوضى على المنطقة بأكملها. ومن هذا المنطلق، دعمت المملكة الشرعية اليمنية بوصفها الإطار القانوني الوحيد القادر على حماية وحدة الدولة وصون القرار الوطني من الاختطاف.
وزاد المستشار اليمني، أن الرياض تقف بوضوح وحزم ضد أي كيانات مسلّحة أو مشاريع موازية تحاول فرض واقع بالقوة أو تسويق نفسها كبدائل للدولة تحت عناوين زائفة. فالدولة هي الضامن الوحيد لوحدة اليمن، وأي مساس بها هو مساس مباشر بحق اليمنيين في وطن واحد وسيادة غير منقوصة.
وحول إفشال مشاريع التقسيم قبل أن تتحول إلى أمر واقع، قال العمدة: «في مرحلة لم يعد فيها الخطر مقتصراً على الانقلاب المسلح، بل تمدد ليشمل مشاريع تفكيك ناعمة وخشنة تُدار عبر مليشيات وأدوات تعمل وفق أجندات خارجية، لعبت المملكة دور صمّام الأمان في منع هذه المشاريع من التحول إلى وقائع سياسية معترف بها. كان الموقف السعودي حاسماً، لا شرعية لمليشيا، ولا مستقبل لكيان خارج الدولة، ولا غطاء سياسياً لأي مشروع يستهدف وحدة اليمن، مهما حاول التلاعب بالعناوين أو استغلال المظالم».
وعن البعد الإنساني قال: «لم تفصل المملكة بين السياسة والإنسان. فبينما استخدمت بعض الأطراف المعاناة الإنسانية كورقة ابتزاز سياسي، مضت السعودية في مسار إنساني واسع النطاق، هدفه حماية المدنيين، وتخفيف الكارثة، ومنع استغلال الجوع والاحتياج لتمرير مشاريع التفكيك، فالحفاظ على كرامة الإنسان اليمني كان ولا يزال جزءاً أصيلاً من معركة الحفاظ على وحدة اليمن، لأن المجتمعات المنهكة هي الأكثر عرضة للاختراق والانقسام».
وأضاف العمدة: «إن المقاربة السعودية تنطلق من حقيقة راسخة: وحدة اليمن لا تُفرض بالقوة، بل تُصان بالتوافق. لذلك دفعت المملكة باتجاه الحوار السياسي، وترتيب البيت اليمني من الداخل، وبناء شراكة وطنية واسعة تحت سقف الدولة والشرعية. وهي رؤية تدرك أن معالجة المظالم لا تكون بتفجير الدولة، بل بإصلاحها، وأن إنصاف أي مكوّن لا يمكن أن يكون على حساب وحدة الوطن.
ومن هنا، فإن رعاية المملكة لأي حوار جنوبي تمثل ضمانة حقيقية لنجاحه ومصداقيته واستدامته؛ لأنها تنطلق من الحرص على أن تكون الحلول يمنية، نابعة من إرادة أبنائه، لا مفروضة عليهم ولا مرتهنة لأجندات خارجية».
تقسيم اليمن خط أحمر
وعن رسالة المملكة إلى الداخل اليمني، قال المستشار العمدة: «إن الشرعية مظلة للجميع، والدولة بيت الجميع، وأي مشروع خارج هذا الإطار هو طريق مسدود، فتقسيم اليمن خط أحمر، وأي عبث بوحدته لن يُنتج استقراراً، بل صراعات ممتدة تهدد الأمن الإقليمي والدولي.
وأضاف قائلاً: وسط هذا المشهد المعقّد، تثبت المملكة أنها ليست مجرد داعم سياسي، بل حارس لوحدة اليمن، وشريك صادق في معركته من أجل الدولة والسيادة والكرامة الإنسانية. وبينما تتهاوى مشاريع التفتيت تحت ثقل تناقضاتها، يبقى الرهان على دولة يمنية واحدة، موحّدة، قادرة، مدعومة بإرادة وطنية صلبة، ومساندة إقليمية مسؤولة، وفي مقدمتها المملكة العربية السعودية».
The head of the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms, Advisor Mohammed Al-Omdah, confirmed that Saudi Arabia is a sincere partner and the elder brother, which has never abandoned its historical responsibility towards the Yemeni people. Its approach to the Yemeni crisis has never been selective or circumstantial; rather, it has stemmed from a stable vision based on supporting constitutional legitimacy, preserving the state, safeguarding community unity, and prioritizing wisdom and dialogue over chaos and conflict.
In his remarks to "Okaz," Al-Omdah stated that the Southern Comprehensive Conference is a politically significant step, carrying profound messages; namely, that Riyadh is keen on addressing sensitive issues with a spirit of consensus and responsibility, and providing space for various southern components to express their visions and aspirations within a comprehensive national framework, under the umbrella of legitimacy and state institutions, away from exclusion and the imposition of facts on the ground.
The Yemeni advisor pointed out that this step, once its political and national conditions are met, represents a real opportunity to recalibrate the political scene in the south, open a window of hope to overcome polarization and tension, enhance stability prospects, and restore the political track as the only option for building peace, not as a political luxury but as a national necessity to protect the state and prevent its disintegration.
Regarding support for legitimacy, Al-Omdah said that the Saudi stance is not a transient tactical position, but rather a strategic moral and political choice, stemming from a firm conviction that the division of the Republic of Yemen does not threaten only Yemenis, but opens the doors to chaos for the entire region. From this standpoint, the Kingdom has supported the Yemeni legitimacy as the only legal framework capable of protecting the unity of the state and safeguarding the national decision from being hijacked.
The Yemeni advisor added that Riyadh stands clearly and firmly against any armed entities or parallel projects attempting to impose reality by force or market themselves as alternatives to the state under false titles. The state is the only guarantor of Yemen's unity, and any infringement upon it is a direct infringement on the rights of Yemenis to a single homeland and unblemished sovereignty.
Regarding thwarting division projects before they become a reality, Al-Omdah said: "In a phase where the danger is no longer limited to armed coups, but has expanded to include soft and hard dismantling projects managed through militias and tools operating according to external agendas, the Kingdom has played a role as a safety valve in preventing these projects from turning into recognized political realities. The Saudi position has been decisive: no legitimacy for militias, no future for entities outside the state, and no political cover for any project targeting Yemen's unity, no matter how it tries to manipulate titles or exploit grievances."
On the humanitarian aspect, he said: "The Kingdom has not separated politics from humanity. While some parties have used humanitarian suffering as a political blackmail tool, Saudi Arabia has pursued a broad humanitarian path aimed at protecting civilians, alleviating the catastrophe, and preventing the exploitation of hunger and need to pass dismantling projects. Preserving the dignity of the Yemeni person has been and remains an integral part of the battle to maintain Yemen's unity, as exhausted communities are the most vulnerable to infiltration and division."
Al-Omdah added: "The Saudi approach is based on a firm truth: Yemen's unity cannot be imposed by force, but must be preserved through consensus. Therefore, the Kingdom has pushed for political dialogue, arranging the Yemeni house from within, and building a broad national partnership under the roof of the state and legitimacy. This vision recognizes that addressing grievances cannot be achieved by blowing up the state, but by reforming it, and that the justice of any component cannot come at the expense of the unity of the homeland.
From this perspective, the Kingdom's sponsorship of any southern dialogue represents a real guarantee for its success, credibility, and sustainability; as it is based on the commitment to ensure that solutions are Yemeni, stemming from the will of its people, not imposed upon them or tethered to external agendas."
Dividing Yemen is a red line
Regarding the Kingdom's message to the Yemeni interior, Advisor Al-Omdah said: "Legitimacy is a shelter for all, and the state is the home of everyone, and any project outside this framework is a dead end. Dividing Yemen is a red line, and any tampering with its unity will not produce stability, but rather extended conflicts that threaten regional and international security.
He added: In the midst of this complex scene, the Kingdom proves that it is not just a political supporter, but a guardian of Yemen's unity, and a sincere partner in its battle for statehood, sovereignty, and human dignity. While fragmentation projects collapse under the weight of their contradictions, the bet remains on a single, unified, capable Yemeni state, supported by a solid national will and responsible regional backing, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
